Science: Continental Drift

OK SO NO PREAMBLE. JUST IM SORRY FOR NOT POSTING AND THIS ONE IS EDUCATIONAL!!!!

The theory for continental drift was around a long time before it was ratified. Abraham Ortelius was the first man to dream of it, after looking out from a library window and seeing clouds. They started as one whole mass then split up.
Abraham did not live to see his theory come true. But here's a rundown.
Million and million and million of years ago(long time), all the earths continents were part of one super continent: Pangea. This means "all-earth". Not very dramatic but efficient. Then, after several millions of years, they drifted apart and formed what we have today: North America, South America, Oceania, Eurasia(yes no longer Europe and Asia), and Africa.
Note- Some islands were seabed until the waters pulled back and they came out. India is referred to many times as the "sub-continent" as it is a separate plate than Eurasia. It is still driving into the Asian countries, thus the Himalayas.
